How to access postk-vpn

Accessing the System

Access to the Post-K Performance Evaluation Environment requires VPN connection. You need to install a client certificate with the password Post-K Performance Evaluation Environment operating staff sent by the e-mail. If you already know how to install client certificate (Just double click on pfx or p12 file then follow the instructions), please install it and you can skip the "Installing client certificate" instruction.

Supported Operating Systems

We only support Windows 10 and latest macOS. Even if you are useing other operating systems, you probably have access to the system. We cannot provide information for how to create a VPN connection. So please find the way to create a VPN connection by yourself. The information below might help you to find out how to access.

Installing client certificate

Installing client certificate (Windows 10)

  1. Save pfx or p12 file which Post-K Performance Evaluation Environment operating staff sent by the e-mail.
  2. Open pfx or p12.
  3. Follow the instructions displayed.
  4. Use the password which Post-K Performance Evaluation Environment operating staff sent by the e-mail to start installation.

  2. Open pfx or p12.
  3. Follow the instructions displayed.
  4. Use the password which Post-K Performance Evaluation Environment operating staff sent by the e-mail to start installation.

Accessing the System with Windows 10 using Internet Explorer / Java Applet

You MUST use Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is the only browser which supports Java Applet.
  1. Open https://postk-vpn.r-ccs.riken.jp with Internet Explorer.
  2. Click "Application Access" on the left column.
  3. Press "Start Applications" button in the middle.
  4. Now you can ssh to the each system. To ssh, use IP address and port numbers on the list.

Accessing the System with Windows 10 using AnyConnect

  1. Access the user portal with Internet Explorer or Edge. If you are using firefox or chrome, please install the client certificate into your browser.
  2. Click "Login" on the top of right, then click "Login with SSL certificate." If the portal displayed in Japanese, select the language from the bottom of the page.
  3. Select "Project" then, click "Post-K performance evaluation environment user portal".
  4. Open "Wiki" page.
  5. Click "VPN" and download "CISCO AnyConnect Mobile Security."
  6. Execute the file you downloaded and install AnyConnect.
  7. Start CISCO AnyConnect Mobile Security. If your system have multiple client certificates, please open https://postk-vpn.r-ccs.riken.jp then select the client certificate you have installed.
  8. Access postk-vpn.r-ccs.riken.jp with Anyconnect.
  9. Now you can ssh to the each system.

Accessing the System with macOS using AnyConnect

  1. Access the user portal with Safari. If you are using firefox or chrome, please install the client certificate into your browser.
  2. Click "Login" on the top of right, then click "Login with SSL certificate." If the portal displayed in Japanese, select the language from the bottom of the page.
  3. Select "Project" then, click "Post-K performance evaluation environment user portal".
  4. Open "Wiki" page.
  5. Click "VPN" and download "CISCO AnyConnect Mobile Security."
  6. Execute the file you downloaded and install AnyConnect.
  7. Start CISCO AnyConnect Mobile Security. If your system have multiple client certificates, please open https://postk-vpn.r-ccs.riken.jp then select the client certificate you have installed.
  8. Access postk-vpn.r-ccs.riken.jp with AnyConnect.
  9. Now you can ssh to the each system.
